Skype
A useful application for those who wish to chat and enjoy the use of free calls. A little limited with the ipad 1...but hardware changes are possible.



Twitter
Another great tool to have. It has the same features as the web version but serves as a good take-along-tool.


fin
Tool to help you integrate all your social media tools in one space.




Yoono
I first used this application in Windows as well as Ubuntu. It allows you to bring all your social media under the same 'roof'.




Pinterest
Back then i did not have the application because it had not yet been developped. But it is a must have for all artists and designers. It lets you choose a category so that you can receive updates from specific posts.



Blogger
I needed this because i am trying to develop my web log. With this tool installed, i can then
process content (both images and text).




LinkedIn
Another useful tool for social media with an specific interest in business and work related contacts. There are updates available and many different developers.



Bulk SMS
One of my most recent tools. You can use this if you want to create and send bulk messages.




Tumblr
Recent takeovers from yahoo may signal some changes in the future but the tool is useful as it stands. The version i use was created for the iphone. Fortunately i can magnify the tool so that the interface is a little easier to use.



Viber
A friend to suggest this tool to use instead of Skype. The challenge of most of these tools is that the people you need to talk to also have to subscribe in order to use.



TexMe
A new install with potential.

Education 2.0

Education 2.0 ? A few interesting but seemingly unrelated events are taking place as we speak. The internet is changing the way we think about education and the manner in which we communicate (socialize). At the centre of this dramatic change, groups like google realized a quite a while back that someone had to put all this new information in order for others to utilize. And so they invaded search and in some sense are attempting to monopolize it.  Universities and educational institutions chose not to be left behind and began initiatives in which they explored extensively the area of online education.
