This Week an American, Tom MacMaster admitted to being the writer behind a blog titled a 'gay girl in Damascus'. His writings had touched a raw nerve especially in a conservative and predominantly muslim culture. Tom had amassed quite a following, judging from the uproar that that arose upon his admission. Even though some of the criticism towards him is justified, i think this has highlighted some important everyday issues. How many times have you pretended to be something that you are not and gotten a way with it? A relationship in which you are involved may not have happened if you had not restricted the information you made available to your other half. What is it that you said in the interview to get you your current job? Was it correct to respond to your teenage child the way you did when he or she asked you about your life in College?
